Your data stays on your Mac.

This page explains what information the Kule app and getkule.com keep, and where. The short version is right below.

Last updated: October 14, 2026
  • We have no server of our ownThe app makes every connection directly from this Mac.
  • Keys in KeychainSSH keys and your panel and GitHub tokens are kept in Keychain.
  • Root password not storedIt is used once, then cleared from memory.
  • Email on the site, analytics with consentEmail for the early access list; analytics only if you agree.

What does the app collect?

Kule has no server of its own. It connects to your servers, the Dokploy panel, GitHub and Cloudflare directly from this Mac. None of the information that passes through these connections comes to us.

Apart from these, it also asks a few public services from this Mac: it asks ipinfo.io about an IP address to name a new server, and Cloudflare and Google DNS to check DNS records. It downloads the list of ready-made apps from Dokploy's website, and the cf tool from nodejs.org and npm.

The app does not send analytics or crash reports. No information about how you use Kule, or which servers or projects you manage, reaches us.

What is kept on this Mac?

Everything Kule needs to work stays on this Mac. Secrets are kept in Keychain. Apart from your database backups, Kule's files contain no secrets.

SecretsSSH keys; Dokploy and GitHub tokens, the panel admin passwordmacOS Keychain
Cloudflare sessionThe cf tool's own file; Kule does not read it~/Library/Preferences/cloudflare

Database backupsBackups saved to this Mac~/Library/Application Support/com.getkule.app/backups

When you uninstall Kule, you can clean up everything by deleting this folder, the ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.getkule.app.backup.plist file and the com.getkule.app entries in Keychain. If you want to keep the backups in the folder, move them first.

Root password

The root password you type when you add a new server is used only on the first connection. During that connection, Kule sets up an SSH key just for that server, puts the key in Keychain and clears the password from memory. The password is never written anywhere.

Updates

Kule checks for a new version by looking at a file on cdn.getkule.com. This request only downloads the version information. It sends nothing about your device or your servers, and we do not log these requests.

Backups

Database backups go either to this Mac or to the S3, R2 or B2 storage you choose. The access details for that storage are saved in Dokploy, which takes the backup, so on your own server. Your backups do not come to us.

Website and email list

On getkule.com, we collect your email address for the early access list. Your address is kept on our own server in Türkiye, which runs only for this list, and is used only for Kule announcements. You can leave the list with the link in every email, or ask for your address to be deleted.

We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. Google Analytics and its cookies load only if you agree in the banner at the bottom of the page. If you do not agree, no request goes to Google. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the very bottom of the page. Data collected with your consent is processed by Google. Your theme choice and your cookie choice are kept only in your browser.
